Location: Pittsford, NY
This park is located 10 minutes east of Rochester, NY. This is a beautiful spot to access the Erie Canalway Trail for a stroll along the canal. There are benches and informational signs near the parking lot. If you walk west along the canal, you will pass by the historic lock 32 barge basin. There is a really pretty stretch where you walk with water on both sides of you. If you walk east from the parking lot, you will reach the working lock 32. There are more informational signs, a bench, picnic table, and porta potty. You can go up the steps to a lookout platform where you can watch boats use the lock. The Canalway Trail continues in both directions. Leashed dogs and bikers are allowed. It is stroller friendly and accessible. There is a metal climbing structure, but it looks quite old and out dated.
