Letchworth State Park – Balloons Over Letchworth

Location: Castile, NY

This park is located 1 hour southwest of Rochester, NY. Balloons Over Letchworth is a hot air ballooning company that operates scenic balloon rides over Letchworth State Park. The balloon rides give passengers incredible views of the Genesee River, its waterfalls, and the surrounding forests and hills. We did not ride in a balloon but we visited to watch the balloons fly! We arrived to the field between Middle Falls and Upper Falls around 6:30PM and watched as the balloons filled with air and then rose into the sky. We then watched which direction they were flying, and ran to Middle Falls to watch them. It was a unique and incredible experience.
