Location: Liverpool, NY
This park is located just over an hour east of Rochester, NY on the shore of Onondaga Lake near Syracuse. The Onondaga Lake Park – Butterfly Garden of Hope is located on the northeast shore of the lake. According to the official website, “The Butterfly Garden of HOPE is a memorial to those who have died, a symbol of hope to the living and a place of comfort for the grieving.” There are beautiful trees, flowers, and walking paths that form a picture of a butterfly from above as well as benches, a gazebo, and beautiful views over Onondaga Lake. I don’t know if dogs are allowed.
