Location: Webster, NY
NOTE: Gosnell Big Woods Preserve is open for hunting during the appropriate season. Read all posted signs and follow safety precautions during hunting season.
This beautiful nature preserve is located 15 minutes east of Rochester, NY near the shore of Lake Ontario. This preserve has an old-growth forest, a field, and a small meadow. The Big Field Trail is a 1.2 mile loop around the perimeter of the big field. This trail is packed dirt with a few small hills and roots. There are a couple benches along the path and some branches to other trails. There are also trails that connect to Whiting Road Nature Preserve, Vosburg Hollow Nature Trail, and the Hojack Trail.
We were able to pull a wagon around the loop with some difficulty, so I would say it is somewhat stroller friendly. Leashed dogs are allowed.
