Location: Waterloo, NY
This Finger Lakes Land Trust nature preserve is located 50 minutes southeast of Rochester, NY near the top of Seneca Lake. There are several short trails at the preserve. The packed stone yellow trail is stroller and bicycle friendly and connects to the Cayuga-Seneca Canal Trail. The blue and red trails are not stroller friendly – the dirt path is uneven and can be muddy. The red trail had a lot of fallen trees and other obstacles as well as a tiny bridge made of two wood planks. The red trail also seemed to extend beyond what is shown in the map. The preserve has some beautiful evergreen trees (red pine, white pine, and Norway spruce) as well as gorgeous tamarack trees. Leashed dogs are allowed. Bicycles are only allowed on the yellow trail.
