Letchworth State Park – Archery Field Overlook

Location: Castile, NY

This park is located 1 hour southwest of Rochester, NY. There are numerous trails and viewpoints throughout the park. The Archery Field Overlook is one of my favorite accessible viewpoints at the park. The location is indicated with a star on the map below. Park here and enjoy the incredible view of the big bend in the Genesee River. You can hike in either direction along the 7-mile Gorge Trail that spans the whole park. Leashed dogs are allowed. There is a fee to enter the park, though the fee is sometimes waived during the winter.
