Durand Eastman Park – Eastman Lake Trail

Location: Rochester, NY

This 1.7 mile loop trail is located in Durand Eastman Park, right across the road from Lake Ontario in the city of Rochester, NY. The trail goes around the beautiful Eastman Lake and passes through a small pine grove, a section of evergreen Great Laurel bushes, and some wetlands. The trail is dirt, narrow, and uneven and would NOT be considered stroller friendly.

There is also a small branch off of the trail (circled on the map below) that scrambles up a small hill to Owen’s Point. This is a memorial dedicated to sobriety and has a bench with beautiful views of the lake to the north and the south.

The trail can be accessed by parking in one of the lots on Lakeshore Blvd. You can also check out views of Lake Ontario while here as well as the White Lady Castle and the Peace Sign Garden.
