Sherburne Park Nature Trail

Location: Walworth, NY

This park with a nature trail is located 25 minutes east of Rochester, NY. There is an easy and flat 1 mile nature trail around the perimeter of the park. When we visited in March, the road all the way to the playground and dog park was closed with a gate so we parked in one of the spots by the gate and walked in along the road. The path is mowed grass with benches, birdhouses, a picnic spot, and several signs showing the names and uses of various trees. It was VERY muddy and almost impassable in one spot when we visited, but probably easier on a dry day. I would say it is not stroller friendly, unless you can push a stroller over grass. The nature trail brought us to the area by the fields, dog park, and play area. The play area was pond theme with a bunch of climbers and structures, but not a traditional playground. There was also an observation deck overlooking Black Creek just beyond the play area.
