Location: Shortsville, NY
This park is located 30 minutes southeast of Rochester, NY. It is a really cute park along the Canandaigua Outlet in Shortsville. There are swinging benches along the river, an overlook platform, a large gazebo, and a small hiking area with two small bridges. We walked across the grass toward the small covered bridge. It was then a short flat ~0.25 mile loop path over another bridge and with a carved bench. Near this park is a dog park and the southern entrance to the Manchester Gateway Trail (see my other post). Across the street is Budd Park with some sports fields, older play equipment, and there was also a modern playground that was roped off when we visited and may be open now). There was a porta potty when we visited. The park is probably not too stroller friendly due to the need to go over grass and woodchips, but it may be possible with a sturdy stroller.
