Location: North Chili, NY
This 2.1 mile one-way trail starts near the Woodside Shelter, down the wide pine tree lines path, and then follows the green trail markers. It can be combined with the Ridge Trail (purple) to make a 3.5 mile loop. I only hiked the first section of the Wetland Trail. It was a mostly flat path that probably has wildflowers in the warmer months, but I hiked in winter. The path led into the most beautiful and magical pine tree grove with trees planted in lines. After the pine trees is a boardwalk through a swamp. This is where I turned around, I hope to get back and hike the whole trail! I will update with path surface type when I return without snow!
Location: To find the trail, we entered Black Creek Park from Union Street. At the first fork in the road, we turned left toward Woodside lodge and parked in the first parking lot (not the playground parking area). We walked down the wide path with two large rocks and found the entrance to the fairy trail on the right. The start of the trail can be found near this GPS: 43.080991, -77.798614.
