Corbett’s Glen Nature Park

Location: Brighton, NY

This beautiful nature park is 7 minutes east of Rochester, NY. There are two entrances to the park: the parking lot on Penfield Road provides access to Corbett’s Glen North and the street parking on Glen Road provides access through the tunnel to Corbett’s Glen South. (*Park patrons must park at the top of Glen Road and walk through the tunnel to access the park trail). Both sections of the park are connected by a woodchip path. Apparently Corbett’s Glen was once an important trading ground for the Indigenous Peoples of the area.

  • Corbett’s Glen South: You enter the park by walking along the side of the road and entering through the tunnel. You will be greeted by a view of the small waterfall under the tunnel. If you continue along the road for 0.13 mile you will reach the Postcard Falls overlook with a seating area. There is a 0.65 mile perimeter loop trail with some meadows, wetlands and a boardwalk. The path to the waterfall I believe is stroller friendly but I am unsure about the entire perimeter loop.
  • Corbett’s Glen North: There are two loops at the north end. We didn’t have a stroller, but I think the 0.35 mile stone dust trail seemed flat enough to be stroller friendly. The second loop is woodchips and may or may not be stroller friendly, I am not sure. There was a random rusty vehicle along the trail, scattered pine trees, and a view of the train tracks.
