Durand Eastman Park – Log Cabin Road

Location: Rochester, NY

Durand Eastman Park is located along Lake Ontario in the city of Rochester. There are several trails in the park with beautiful views. We drove the Log Cabin Road and parked at the loop near the shelters. This spot is surrounded by a canopy of tall trees. There is a traditional playground right at the parking area and seasonal bathrooms. From here, the Log Cabin Road is closed off to vehicles, which makes a nice stroller friendly and accessible path. The path passes several beautiful lakes and many gorgeous trees. We walked for 0.5 miles until the intersection with Zoo Road and Pine Valley Road and then turned around and returned to the car the way we came. I’m not sure if this road is always closed to traffic.
