Location: Penfield, NY
Ellison Park is located less than 10 minutes east of Rochester, NY. The Overlook Trail is a 0.6 mile loop trail that branches off of the Coyote Den Trail, making for a hike that will be longer than 0.6 miles. We parked at Penfield Road where there was a picnic table. The Coyote Den Trail goes through a beautiful forest with sloped hills surrounding you. The Overlook Trail then climbs uphill to a lookout point over Redman Lake (an old quarry). The dirt path is uneven, narrow, and steep and is not stroller friendly. Leashed dogs are allowed.
