Location: East Bethany, NY
This beautiful park was established in 1915 and is the oldest County Forest in New York State. The park has 12 miles of trails, five ponds, two toboggan hills, and a four-acre wetland area. There are beautiful evergreen forests and informational signs along the trails. There is a beautiful interpretive nature center with tons of information, interactive activities for children, a live turtle, and a working honeybee hive. There is also an outdoor children’s education area near the nature center and a traditional playground and pavilions on the other side of the park.
