Location: Rochester, NY
This not-so-secret sidewalk is located along Lake Ontario in the City of Rochester. We parked at the northwest corner of the parking lot at Ontario Beach Park and walked west about a half mile along Beach Ave until we reached Clematis Ave where we entered the “Hidden Sidewalk” (the entrance can be seen if you use satellite view on google maps, shown below). We walked about a quarter mile down the hidden sidewalk to Cloverdale St and then walked back. I’m not sure if there is closer parking! The views of the lake were gorgeous and all of the flowers were so pretty. A few notes:
- bicycles, scooters, or any other wheeled vehicles are NOT permitted.
- All of the property along the hidden sidewalk is private property so please stay on the path.
- There are restrooms and an inclusive playground at Ontario Beach Park.
