Location: Penfield, NY
This Genesee Land Trust nature preserve is located 15 minutes east of Rochester, NY. This was a really nice wooded path and wetland walk. The path was compacted soil, mulch, and boardwalk. There is no parking lot as this nature area is in a neighborhood setting. We parked on the shoulder of Coachman Dr near the intersection with Broughman Dr near the start of the Wild Iris Path. The hike was about a half mile long with several benches and had a few different paths to take – we did the outermost loop. This was a pretty and peaceful hike full of wildlife (lots of birds and deer tracks!). I imagine it would be very pretty during the spring! Leashed dogs are allowed. Due to the narrow and muddy nature of the trail, it may not be stroller friendly.
