Location: Basom, NY
This beautiful hiking area is located 1 hour west of Rochester, NY. This trail is a 1.3 mile loop through marsh, forested wetlands, and upland habitat including a beautiful evergreen forest. There is a long elevated boardwalk section and gravel paths as well as several benches, bridges, and informational signs along the trail. When we visited, the trails were covered in snow. According to websites, the trail is stroller friendly and accessible – however there were several trees down when we were there (January 2026). Leashed dogs are allowed.
