Location: Tully, NY
This trail is located south of Syracuse – just about 2 hour east of Rochester, NY. This nature area is located in the middle of a valley that was dug out by glacial movement around ten thousand years ago. We hiked the accessible part of the trail (0.25 miles each way) to the beautiful view of the 50 foot waterfall “hanging” over a natural rock amphitheater. We then continued over some rocky terrain (NOT accessible or stroller friendly) and through the creek to the base of the falls where we climbed the stone steps to walk behind the falls. Walking behind the waterfall was truly magical. This trail can be connected to the Boardwalk Trail via the Skyline Trail.
Note: The stairs and rocks are very slippery and can be dangerous. Please use caution. This part of the trail may not be suited for everyone.
