Location: Brighton, NY
This lovely park is tucked behind some office buildings 12 minutes south of Rochester, NY. There is a nice playground near the parking area. After playing on the playground we took the paved path through the park, past the ball fields to the trail. We passed the butterfly garden before entering the peaceful forest and wetland areas. The hiking trail was gravel and then had sections of wood chip and some really neat boardwalks with wooden arches. It was a very peaceful escape into nature in an unexpected location! The paved paths around the park are stroller friendly. When the trail enters the woods, some sections are covered in a pretty deep layer of gravel that may be difficult to navigate with a stroller. The trails also connect to the Erie Canal.
