Location: Phelps, NY
This trailhead of the 25-mile Ontario Pathways rail trail is located 35 minutes east of Rochester, NY. We only hiked a short section of the trail. There was a wooden bridge. After the bridge we saw an unmarked side trail that leads to Double Drop Falls – a lovely waterfall. There was also a StoryWalk on the trail when we visited in August 2025, I am not sure if it is a permanent installation or not. There were also some meadows next to the trail and we saw plenty of butterflies and other wildlife. The path is flat and stroller friendly. Leashed dogs are allowed.
