Location: Pittsford, NY
This beautiful meadow of daffodils is located 15 minutes southeast of Rochester, NY in Powder Mills Park. There are two ways to reach the Daffodil Meadow.
- There is a trail that is 0.67 miles each way to the daffodil meadow starting at the Daffodil Trail trailhead on Park Road (County Rd 25). This dirt trail through the woods is NOT considered stroller friendly. There are lovely creek views along the path,
- The alternate route to the meadow is parking on Thornell Road and taking the path 0.2 miles each way to the daffodil meadow. The start of this end of the trail is located at this GPS: 43.054553, -77.489617. You will see a gate that says “Daffodil Meadow 0.2.” It appears that there may be one parking space along the road right in front of the gate, but I do not have this confirmed. Instead, we parked at the small parking lot for the Deblase Trail (GPS: 43.054293, -77.492065) and walked about 0.1 mile along and across the street (it’s a busy road without a crosswalk). After entering the gate, there is a short but rather steep little hill. After the hill (which was a little tricky with a stroller), the path is gravel/stone dust and stroller friendly. It passes the Irondequoit Creek and then leads to the daffodil meadow full of daffodils and some benches.
