Location: Sodus Point, NY
This beautiful beach with a pier and lighthouse is located 40 minutes east of Rochester, NY along the shore of Lake Ontario. We started at the playground on the beach. We then walked the path to the pier and out to the lighthouse. It is paved and stroller friendly BUT there is a section of the pier with two steps which required lifting the stroller. Also – this pier has no guard rails of any kind, so we kept the kids in the stroller and kept the stroller’s safety wrist strap on tightly! This park has seasonal swimming, fishing, and volleyball. There is a bathhouse with restrooms and a toy library. Leashed dogs are allowed, but not at the swimming area.
