Spring Lake Trail

Location: Perinton, NY

This trail is located 15 minutes east of Rochester, NY. We parked in the parking lot of Spring Lake Park and played on the playground for a bit. It’s not a very new playground and is designed for 5-12 year olds. We then walked to the Spring Lake Trail which did require going up a small grassy hill alongside the road. The path myself is really well maintained with a few small hills and pretty views of the river. Just FYI the path is right alongside the rushing river with no rails or guards of any kind! We walked a short ways to the Babci’s Bridge and then turned around.

According to the Town of Perinton website: “The new 2,100 linear foot stone dust trail follows along Irondequoit Creek, forging a vital connection from Spring Lake Park in the Town of Perinton to an existing trail network in the neighboring Town of Penfield, ultimately leading to Channing Philbrick Park.”

Here is some history about Spring Lake, which no longer exists! Perinton Historical Society & Fairport Museum
