Washington Grove

Location: Rochester, NY

This is one of our favorite spots to hike in the city of Rochester! This old growth forest located in Cobb’s Hill makes it feel like you have escaped the city and got lost in the woods. There is a branching network of easy trails, so you can hike as much or as little as you want. We usually park at the dead end of Nunda Boulevard and enter there but there are other access points (see the Trail Map below). The trails go all the way up to the water towers as well as Cobb’s Hill Reservoir, but we usually just wander around the wooded trails beneath tall trees. There are some stairs so this trail is not stroller friendly.
